Spain: terrorist attack on a church

Islamist-related attack in the town of Algeciras, in southern Spain. It all started in the church of San Isidro, where the Salesian priest Antonio Rodriguez was celebrating the seven o'clock mass.

The event that occurred recalls the 2004 attack in Madrid and the 2017 attack in Barcelona. Both attacks organized by Islamist cells linked to international terrorism.

Today's attack according to police sources is an isolated attack carried out by a lone wolf. The bomber was identified and arrested by the police. He is a 25-year-old young man of Moroccan origins.
