Shamima Begum who left the UK to join the Islamic State at the age of 15, has lost her appeal against the decision to revoke her British citizenship.
Begum, who currently lives in a refugee camp in northern Syria, arrived in the country with two school friends in 2015 to join the ISIS militants. In 2019 she jumped to the international news as a bride of ISIS who pleaded with the UK government to be able to return to her country of origin too for the birth of her child.
