It is an essential practice in Islam, reflecting the importance that the Islamic tradition places on both physical cleanliness and spiritual purity before worship.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Performing wu\u1e0d\u016b\u02be is always recommended in Islamic rituals, but it becomes obligatory in certain circumstances, including before the obligatory daily prayers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Before performing the prayer, wudu must be renewed whenever one of the conditions that invalidate it has occurred, such as passing wind, relieving oneself, deep sleep or other circumstances identified by Islamic jurisprudence. In the case of sexual discharge or a state of major ritual impurity, however, full-body ritual purification, known as <strong>ghusl<\/strong>, is required. <br>\nFurthermore, as an act of mercy from Allah \ufdfb, women are not required to perform the ritual prayer during menstruation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Perform Wudu<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is essential for every Muslim to know the correct way to perform wudu according to the teachings of the Qur\u2019an and the Sunnah of the Prophet \ufdfa. The principal reference is found in S\u016brat al-M\u0101\u02beidah, together with the explanations transmitted in authentic hadith.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cO you who believe! When you prepare for prayer, wash your faces and your hands and forearms up to the elbows, wipe your heads, and wash your feet up to the ankles. And if you are in a state of major impurity, then purify yourselves. But if you are ill, or travelling, or have just relieved yourselves, or have had relations with women and cannot find water, then resort to clean earth, wiping your faces and hands with it.<br>\nAllah does not wish to place any burden upon you, but He wishes to purify you and complete His favour upon you, so that you may be grateful.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Qur\u2019an, S\u016brat al-M\u0101\u02beidah, 5:6<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sunnah and Obligatory Aspects of Wudu<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Wudu begins with the intention in the heart\u2014an-niyyah f\u012b al-qalb\u2014that is, the intention to purify oneself for All\u0101h. It is then recommended to pronounce the Bismill\u0101h, saying:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">During wudu, the use of the <em>siw\u0101k<\/em>, the traditional stick used to clean the teeth, is also recommended. This practice is considered an act of worship, and the Prophet \ufdfa mentioned its virtues in several hadith.<br>\nIn addition to its spiritual value, the <em>siw\u0101k<\/em> also provides benefits for oral hygiene.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before performing the obligatory acts of wudu, it is Sunnah to wash the hands up to the wrists three times, taking care to clean between the fingers.<br>\n\nAfter this, the main parts of wudu are performed in the following order:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Wash the hands up to the wrists.<\/strong><br>\nIt is recommended to begin by washing the hands three times, making sure that the water also reaches the spaces between the fingers.<\/li>\r\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Rinse the mouth and nose.<\/strong><br>\nThe mouth and nose are washed by taking water with the hand, rinsing the mouth and expelling the water, then gently drawing water into the nose and expelling it with the help of the left hand.<\/li>\r\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Wash the face.<\/strong><br>\nThe face should be washed from the hairline to the chin and from one ear to the other. If the beard is light and the skin is visible, the water must reach the skin; if the beard is thick, one should do one\u2019s best to allow the water to pass through the hairs.<\/li>\r\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Wash the arms up to the elbows.<\/strong><br>\nThe arms are washed from the hands up to the elbows, including the elbows themselves. It is recommended to begin with the right side and then proceed to the left.<\/li>\r\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Wipe the head with wet hands.<\/strong><br>\nThe hands are moistened and passed over the head, from the front towards the back and then returning to the starting point.<\/li>\r\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Clean the ears.<\/strong><br>\nWith the hands still wet, the inside of the ears is wiped with the index fingers and the outside with the thumbs.<\/li>\r\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Wash the feet up to the ankles.<\/strong><br>\nThe feet are washed from the toes up to the ankles, beginning with the right foot. It is important to ensure that the water reaches between the toes, the heels and around the ankles.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supplication After Performing Wudu<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After completing wudu, it is Sunnah to recite the following supplication:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Ashhadu an l\u0101 il\u0101ha ill\u0101 All\u0101h, wa\u1e25dahu l\u0101 shar\u012bka lah, wa ash-hadu anna Mu\u1e25ammadan \u02bfabduhu wa ras\u016bluh. All\u0101humma-j\u02bfaln\u012b mina-t-taww\u0101b\u012bn, waj\u02bfaln\u012b mina-l-muta\u1e6dahhir\u012bn.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cI bear witness that there is no deity except Allah, the One, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O Allah, make me among those who repent and make me among those who purify themselves.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Virtues of Perfecting and Maintaining Wudu<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perfecting wudu has an important place in a Muslim\u2019s spiritual life. It is not merely an outward act; it is an act of obedience and purification, as well as a preparation for standing before All\u0101h in prayer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anas ibn M\u0101lik, one of the great Companions of the Prophet \ufdfa, reported that the Prophet \ufdfa saw a man who had neglected an area of his body no larger than a fingernail while performing wudu. The Prophet \ufdfa told him to return and perform his wudu properly, as the prayer would not be valid without complete ablution.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Maintaining Wudu Is a Cause of Allah\u2019s Love<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cIndeed, Allah loves those who repent and loves those who purify themselves.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u0625\u0650\u0646\u064e\u0651 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u064e\u0651\u0647\u064e S\u016brat al-Baqarah, 2:222<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Wudu Is a Key to Prayer. <br>It is reported:<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cThe key to Paradise is prayer, and the key to prayer is ablution.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u0645\u0650\u0641\u0652\u062a\u064e\u0627\u062d\u064f class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Sunan al-Tirmidh\u012b<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Wudu Can Help Calm Anger<\/strong>. <br>Some narrations mention that anger comes from the devil, that the devil was created from fire and that fire is extinguished by water.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cIndeed, anger comes from the devil, the devil was created from fire, and fire is extinguished by water; therefore, when one of you becomes angry, let him perform wudu.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u0625\u0650\u0646\u064e\u0651 \u0627\u0644\u0652\u063a\u064e\u0636\u064e\u0628\u064e Sins and Raises One\u2019s Rank.<\/strong><br>The Prophet \ufdfa mentioned among the actions that erase sins the perfecting of wudu even under difficult circumstances.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cShall I not tell you of that by which Allah erases sins and raises people in rank?\u201d<br>The Companions said:<br>\u201cCertainly, O Messenger of Allah.\u201d<br>He said:<br>\u201cPerforming ablution properly despite difficulties, increasing one\u2019s steps towards the mosques, and waiting for one prayer after another: that is rib\u0101\u1e6d.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u0623\u064e\u0644\u0627 51<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Wudu Will Be a Sign of Recognition on the Day of Judgement. <br>A hadith reports that the traces of wudu will appear as light upon the limbs of the believers.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cO Messenger of Allah, how will you recognise those members of your community whom you have never seen?\u201d<br>The Messenger of Allah \ufdfa replied:<br>\u201cThey will be recognised by the luminous traces left by wudu.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u063a\u064f\u0631\u0651\u064c \u0645\u064f\u062d\u064e\u062c\u0651\u064e\u0644\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Sunan Ibn M\u0101jah<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Sleeping in a State of Wudu Is Recommended. <\/strong><br>Some scholars have emphasised the importance of spending the night in a state of ritual purity, so that the believer may remain in a better spiritual condition even while resting.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Invalidates Wudu?<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the circumstances commonly identified by Muslim jurists as invalidating wudu are:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>the discharge of urine, faeces or gas;<\/li>\r\n<li>deep sleep;<\/li>\r\n<li>major ritual impurity, which requires <strong>ghusl<\/strong>;<\/li>\r\n<li>major ritual impurity, which requires ghusl; <strong>Ghusl<\/strong>;<\/li>\r\n<li>other specific circumstances discussed within the different schools of Islamic jurisprudence.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some details may vary according to the different schools of Islamic law.
